ISAIAH 62 PRAYER LETTER
FOR FOURTH WEEK OF JANUARY 2015
The next day of prayer and fasting in our Isaiah 62 Global Prayer Campaign will be on Wednesday, 28 January 2015. Please join us!

Dear prayer partners,

The Book of Proverbs tells us that the “prayer of the upright is His delight” (Proverbs 15:8).  What a wonderful promise! God does not get tired of our prayers. He delights to hear the requests of His children. The prayers of the saints fill Heaven with much joy and we can be confident that He will hear us. There is no problem that could exhaust His resources, and there is no mountain too high which will not bow to His authority.

Therefore, in this season of prayer and fasting, let us approach the throne of God with great confidence! As we come before the Almighty, let us bring to Him all our needs and know that He will reward us. He delights to hear your voice!

The Apostle Paul understood his dependence on prayer in the churches. In Colossians 4:3, Paul asks the church to pray for him and his co-labourers, “that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains”.

Likewise, we know that we need your prayers here in Jerusalem, and as we travel to the nations to share God’s mystery regarding Israel. We need prayers that God would bless and anoint our work here in Israel, and new doors would open - doors to ministry in Israel and doors to share God’s Word in the nations.

Below are a few matters regarding our ministry that you can pray for:

1. Current staff: Please pray for the 45 ICEJ staff members here in Jerusalem. We are blessed to work with an outstanding team in our Israel offices. Pray that God would protect them and meet all their needs – material, emotional and spiritual. Pray that God would reward them for the time, gifts and energy they invest in this ministry.

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

2. Personnel needed: Please pray for the vacant positions to be filled quickly with men and women of excellence, who have a passion for the work of God here in Israel and in the nations. Currently, our key staff openings include: Webmaster, Marketing and social media expert, staff writer, and graphic artist.

“Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:38)

3. Wisdom: Pray that God would grant the leadership team of the ICEJ the wisdom to make decisions according to His will. Pray that God would give us the strategies needed and the discernment required for the many tasks He has called us to.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5)

4. Anointing of the Holy Spirit: We ask you to pray for God’s rich anointing and abiding presence for us to do His work here in Israel. As we work with local Israelis of all backgrounds, we want to bless them, and bring healing and comfort to them.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me, to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” (Isaiah 61:1)

5. Finances: Please pray for a financial increase in the year of 2015. We are thankful to the Lord for the blessings and growth we experienced in 2014. Trust and pray with us that God would continue to give us growth.

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)

6. Increase in prayer support: Pray that God would move the hearts of even more people around the world to join in praying for us here in Jerusalem. We need intercessors to stand with us 24/7 as we fulfil our calling in God’s holy city.

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” (Isaiah 62:6-7)

7. Our Branches: Please pray for our branches, which we currently have in 80 countries around the world. Pray for the Lord to provide the strength and means and protection to these branches for them to do their work effectively. We also want to pray for vision and growth in that area of our ministry.

“Hear the word of the Lord, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’” (Jeremiah 31:10)

Thank you for standing with us!

Yours in Christ,
