If My People

“If My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” -  2 Chronicles 7:14

In the lead-up to the US presidential election of November 2008, the ICEJ issued a call to prayer knowing the outcome would have profound consequences for the nation and Israel. We know that the result of any election falls within God’s sovereignty, however that does not remove from us the obligation to pray for our leaders as the Word directs.

The presidential campaign of 2008 may be over, but the need to pray and seek the Lord for our nations, the Church and Israel is as necessary today as it was then.

Prayer is the very backbone of our churches and nations. A prayerless church or nation is in serious trouble but, on the other hand, a church and nation at prayer is in a very safe and powerful place.

Today, the ICEJ continues to encourage all its friends and supporters to not only pray for the President of the US, but for all their leaders, knowing that each of our nations will one day be judged for how they treat the people and land of Israel (Joel 3).
