Dear friends,

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem extends our warmest wishes for a joyous Hanukkah celebration this year to the Jewish people and their Christian friends as well.

This significant Jewish festival commemorates the triumph of light over darkness, the cleansing and re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem, and God’s miraculous provision when the “sons of Zion” prevailed over the “sons of Greece” during the time of the Maccabees. (Zechariah 9:13) Even Jesus observed this important holiday, as seen in John 10:22-23.

As families gather to light the Hanukkiah menorah candle each night over the next eight nights, may this be a time for God’s light to shine brightly through the dark hour Israel is experiencing and once more see victory and divine provision.

We continue to pray daily for Israel and trust for His complete work of bringing peace to Jerusalem and all of Israel.
