ICEJ Pays Tribute to Dr. Pat Robertson

The leadership and global following of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem wish to express our deed admiration and respect for Dr. Pat Robertson upon his passing on Thursday at age 93.
Marion Gordon “Pat” Robertson (1930-2023) led a truly distinguished life as an evangelist, broadcaster, philanthropist, statesman, educator, author, entrepreneur, husband and father. He was a ground-breaking pioneer of Christian broadcasting, a patriarch of the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement, and a pillar of the Evangelical body worldwide.

Pat Robertson led a life of strong faith in God, of dedicated service in the Kingdom, and of sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel. There was an excellence in all he touched, as he set high standards for his many varied ministry and business endeavours, which filtered down to all those who served under him. And he was a man of great compassion for the poor, weak and downtrodden.

Pat also was ahead of his time in his unwavering commitment to Israel, engaging with many of the nation’s highest leaders over several generations, and encouraging Christians around the globe to stand steadfastly with the Jewish state and people.

He leaves a remarkable legacy in the many apostolic works he founded, including the Christian Broadcasting Network, Regent University, Operation Blessing, the American Center for Law and Justice, and International Family Entertainment Inc. The fact that all of these ventures are going strong today is testimony to his incredible stewardship in the Kingdom of God.

The ICEJ extends our sincere condolences to the entire Robertson family and all those who served with Pat at CBN and its many offspring. We all will miss this extraordinary man of God.
